History
The airline was founded in 2007 as "Nas Air", Saudi Arabia's first budget carrier, and began commercial flights that year. In November 2013 it rebranded as "flynas" as part of a repositioning that included the later introduction of a business-class product. It has since grown into the Kingdom's dominant low-cost airline and one of the largest LCCs in the Middle East.
Current Operations
Flynas is Saudi Arabia's largest low-cost carrier, operating a fleet of over 60 Airbus A320-family aircraft (including A320neo and A321neo/XLR variants) with substantial further A320neo orders on backlog. It runs a multi-hub structure from Riyadh (RUH), Jeddah (JED), Dammam (DMM) and Madinah (MED), flying more than 70 domestic and international destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa on roughly 1,500 weekly flights. Flynas is not a member of any of the three major global alliances but holds codeshare agreements with carriers such as Gulf Air and Pegasus Airlines.
