AAR Corp is a US-based aviation services company delivering parts supply, MRO repair & engineering, and integrated logistics solutions from its Wood Dale, Illinois headquarters, reporting FY2025 (ended May 2025) sales of $2.8 billion, up 20% year-over-year. Its customers include Delta Air Lines (Trax eMRO software implementation) and the U.S. Navy (E-6B Mercury pilot training joint venture). In November 2025 AAR acquired HAECO's North Carolina and Florida heavy-maintenance operations (HAECO Americas) for $78 million, growing headcount to roughly 7,100 employees as of May 2026 and expanding its position as one of North America's largest independent airframe MRO providers.

San Salvador, El Salvador

Aeroman is a Latin American airframe MRO provider founded in 1983 at El Salvador International Airport, originally established as the maintenance and engineering division of TACA Airlines and now operating as part of the MRO Holdings group. It specializes in heavy airframe checks, structural repairs, cabin and IFE modifications, and full aircraft-paint services for Airbus and Boeing narrowbody types, serving carriers across Latin America and North America. As one of the region's few large-scale independent heavy-maintenance facilities, Aeroman plays a key role in Central America's aviation maintenance capacity and has continued expanding capacity from its El Salvador base.

Tremblay-en-France, France

AFI KLM Engineering & Maintenance is the joint MRO organization of Air France and KLM, offering airframe, engine, and component maintenance for around 200 airline customers and close to 3,000 aircraft worldwide from its Tremblay-en-France headquarters near Paris. In 2024 the group posted total revenues of €4.2 billion and grew external (third-party) revenue by 21.8% to €1.7 billion, with a maintenance order book worth US$8.7 billion at year-end. The organization employs about 13,000 people, runs three engine test cells with roughly 500 shop visits a year, and is increasingly focused on new-generation platforms including the A350, A220, A320neo and 737 MAX.

Beijing, China

Ameco Beijing is a joint venture between Air China (60%) and Lufthansa (through Deutsche Lufthansa, 40%), founded in 1989 as the first and largest independent aircraft maintenance provider in mainland China. Headquartered at Beijing Capital International Airport with outstations in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Tianjin, Qingdao and Chengdu, it employs about 5,600 people delivering heavy maintenance, engine overhaul (Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, CFM International), avionics work and aircraft painting for roughly 10,000 component types. Chromalloy is a global aftermarket engine-parts and repair specialist founded in 1951 and headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, operating more than twenty repair and manufacturing locations worldwide. It specializes in FAA-approved PMA replacement parts, component repair and Designated Engineering Representative (DER) solutions that extend the service life of gas-turbine engine parts for commercial airlines, military operators, lessors and OEMs. The company marked its 75th anniversary in 2026, reflecting a long history as an independent alternative to OEM parts and repair channels in the engine aftermarket.

Atlanta, United States

Delta TechOps is the maintenance, repair and overhaul division of Delta Air Lines and the largest airline MRO in North America, operating from its main base at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport plus more than 50 maintenance stations worldwide. Beyond servicing Delta's own fleet, it provides third-party engine, airframe, avionics and component MRO to more than 150 operators globally, including carriers such as Hawaiian Airlines and Skymark Airlines. Duncan Aviation is one of the largest family-owned business jet MRO providers in the world, founded in 1956 and headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, with two additional full-service facilities plus roughly 30 satellite avionics and paint locations across the United States. It holds authorized service center status for major business jet OEMs including Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Gulfstream and Textron, providing airframe, engine/APU, avionics, paint and interior services alongside a round-the-clock AOG response team. With about 3,000 employees worldwide, it also maintains international certifications spanning EASA countries plus Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.

São José dos Campos, Brazil

Embraer Services & Support is the aftermarket division of Brazilian planemaker Embraer, coordinating a global network of company-owned and authorized MRO centers across the Americas and Europe for the E-Jet family and Embraer executive jets. Its Pool parts program supports 66 airlines worldwide, and the unit posted a record US$3.1 billion services backlog in 2024, underpinned by contracts such as its maintenance agreement with US regional carrier CommuteAir. Recent expansion has added MRO facilities at Dallas Love Field, Cleveland and Sanford in the US, plus a planned capacity doubling at Le Bourget, France, alongside new commercial and executive-jet simulators.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Emirates Engineering is the in-house maintenance division of Emirates airline, supporting one of the world's largest widebody fleets (Airbus A380 and Boeing 777) from its home base at Dubai International Airport. In May 2026 Emirates broke ground on a $5.1 billion, 1.1-million-square-metre engineering complex at Dubai South — one of the largest buildings in the world by volume, featuring the world's largest free-span hangar (285 metres) able to service 28 widebody aircraft simultaneously and the world's largest dedicated landing gear workshop. Targeted for completion by mid-2030, the new complex will consolidate and expand Emirates' MRO footprint well beyond its existing DXB facility.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Etihad Engineering is the aircraft maintenance arm of Etihad Airways, based at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, offering airframe heavy checks, component MRO, engineering design, cabin modification and paint services for widebody types including the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350. Beyond maintaining Etihad's own fleet, it has grown a third-party customer base extending across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, with carriers such as LATAM Airlines Group as a long-term client. The unit continues to expand hangar capacity and opened a new Technical Training facility, positioning Abu Dhabi as a regional MRO hub alongside other Gulf providers.

Vilnius, Lithuania

FL Technics is a Vilnius-based independent MRO provider and subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group, tracing its roots to 2009 when Lithuania's flyLAL Group Services was rebranded. It operates more than 70 line-maintenance stations worldwide alongside base maintenance, engine/APU/landing-gear management, and cabin reconfiguration services, holding EASA, FAA and UK CAA approvals. Its customer base includes major low-cost and flag carriers such as Wizz Air and Saudia, reflecting Central and Eastern Europe's growing role as a cost-competitive MRO destination.

Guangzhou, China

GAMECO (Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company) is a joint venture founded in October 1989 between China Southern Airlines and Hutchison China (a CK Hutchison Holdings subsidiary), based at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. It ranks among China's largest airframe MRO providers, delivering heavy maintenance, line maintenance and aircraft painting for narrowbody and widebody fleets, with China Southern Airlines as its founding shareholder and largest customer. GAMECO has historically ranked among the world's top ten airframe MRO providers by volume, reflecting the scale of southern China's aviation maintenance demand.

Tangerang, Indonesia

GMF AeroAsia traces its roots to Garuda Indonesia's technical division founded in 1949 and became an independent MRO subsidiary in 2002, now operating from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport as Southeast Asia's largest aircraft maintenance provider. It serves more than 190 customers across 60-plus countries — including Cebu Pacific, Thai VietJet Air and Fiji Airways — with airframe, engine and component MRO plus defense maintenance for platforms like the C-130 Hercules, across 43 line-maintenance stations in Indonesia. Revenue grew 16.8% in 2025 to USD 491.9 million, reflecting strong regional demand as Southeast Asian carriers expand their fleets.

Hong Kong, China

HAECO (Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company) is one of the world's largest independent aircraft engineering groups, founded in 1950, headquartered at Hong Kong International Airport and majority-owned by Swire Pacific. It provides airframe services, line maintenance, component overhaul, landing gear and engine support across a global network spanning Hong Kong, mainland China and the Americas, employing around 15,000 people group-wide. In November 2025, HAECO sold its HAECO Americas division (North Carolina and Florida heavy-maintenance facilities, ~1,600 employees) to AAR Corp for $78 million, refocusing on its core Asia-Pacific operations as of 2026.

Madrid, Spain

Iberia Maintenance is the MRO division of Iberia, operating from its La Muñoza facility next to Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport as well as a Barcelona hub, providing airframe maintenance for Airbus fleets and, since 2022, engine overhaul for V2500 and Pratt & Whitney GTF (PW1100G-JM) engines powering the A320neo family. It primarily serves the IAG group of airlines while building third-party engine business as an active shop in RTX's global GTF MRO network — in 2024 it announced full operational GTF overhaul capability, overhauling more than 200 engines, 180 aircraft and 28,000 components that year. In 2026 Madrid also became a LEAP-family premier MRO shop, reflecting continued investment in engine capacity.

Joramco (Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Company) is an independent third-party MRO provider based at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, founded in 2000 and owned by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) since 2017. It offers airframe heavy checks, line maintenance, engine and component support, and cabin modification for Airbus, Boeing and Embraer types, holding EASA, FAA and JCARC approvals as an independent shop not tied to any single airline group. Joramco has expanded hangar capacity in recent years to serve a growing customer base spanning the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Hamburg, Germany

Lufthansa Technik is the world's largest independent provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, covering airframe, engine, and component work for airlines worldwide from its Hamburg headquarters. The group generated €7.4 billion in revenue in 2024 (up 14% year-on-year) and employs roughly 24,500 people across more than 30 subsidiaries and affiliates on five continents, serving over 800 customers including WestJet, LATAM, ANA and EVA Air. It continues to expand capacity — including a new €300 million component and engine-repair plant near Porto, Portugal — under its 'Ambition 2030' strategy targeting over €10 billion in revenue by 2030.

MTU Maintenance is the independent engine MRO arm of German engine maker MTU Aero Engines, founded in 1979 and headquartered in Hannover-Langenhagen with a worldwide network including shops in Canada, China, Poland and the United States. It services roughly 30 commercial and military engine types — from CF6 and V2500 to the GE90 and LEAP families — and has completed more than 20,000 engine shop visits since inception, with an order book exceeding $6 billion. As an OEM-backed MRO partner for GTF and LEAP engine programs, it continues expanding shop capacity to meet the current narrowbody engine upgrade cycle.

Istanbul, Turkey

myTECHNIC is an independent MRO provider founded in 2008 and based at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, with a second line-maintenance station at Antalya Airport. It performs heavy (C- and D-check) base maintenance on Airbus A300–A330 and Boeing 737–777 aircraft, engine repair and overhaul for CFM56-7B and GE CF6-80C2 engines, plus component, NDT, structural/composite repair and full aircraft-painting services for airlines, lessors, OEMs and component-trading companies. As an ASNT Corporate Partner applying lean-manufacturing principles to minimize turnaround times, myTECHNIC operates independently of any single airline group, distinguishing it from carrier-affiliated providers such as Turkish Technic.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Sanad Aerotech is Abu Dhabi's flagship engine MRO business, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company and rebranded from Mubadala Aerospace's Turbine Services & Solutions unit in November 2019, building on roots tracing back to Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO). It performs maintenance, repair and overhaul on commercial and industrial gas turbines and has signed strategic expansion agreements with major OEMs including CFM International, GE Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney. A February 2025 engine-MRO agreement with Pratt & Whitney is expected to create over 1,000 new jobs in Abu Dhabi, underscoring Sanad's role in the UAE's aerospace industrial strategy as of 2026.

SR Technics is an independent MRO provider founded in 1931 and headquartered at Zurich-Kloten Airport, serving over 500 airlines, lessors and OEMs worldwide with more than 1,800 employees across business-development offices in Europe, the USA, Asia and the Middle East. The company specializes in engine MRO for CFM56, PW4000, GTF and LEAP engine families alongside airframe and component work, and has been expanding its Zurzach, Switzerland site with new engine-shop capacity to meet growing narrowbody engine demand. Its continued Zurich-Kloten expansion reflects steady growth in third-party independent MRO business through 2025.

Singapore

ST Engineering Aerospace is the commercial aerospace arm of Singapore's ST Engineering group, providing airframe MRO, passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions, and engineering services from its Singapore headquarters across a network that includes a U.S. presence spanning 52 cities in 21 states. It is a market leader in Airbus and Boeing P2F freighter conversions, a segment it pioneered, and regularly secures long-term airframe MRO renewals — including 10-year contracts — from existing airline customers. The unit continues to add engine MRO capacity globally as demand for both passenger heavy checks and freighter conversions grows.

StandardAero is one of the world's largest independent providers of engine and airframe MRO, tracing its roots to 1911 and now headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with major operations retained from its historic Winnipeg, Canada base. Owned by The Carlyle Group since 2018 and listed on the NYSE since October 2024, it serves business aviation, commercial, military and helicopter markets, generating over $3 billion in annual revenue following its 2017 acquisition of Vector Aerospace. Key relationships include long-running engine-MRO programs with GE Aviation and Sikorsky, plus a support role for emerging platforms such as Boom Supersonic's Overture.

Lisbon, Portugal

TAP M&E (Manutenção e Engenharia) is the maintenance and engineering division of TAP Air Portugal, founded in 1945 and based at a 71,200 m² facility at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport with hangar capacity for 3 widebody and 5 narrowbody aircraft. It offers airframe, engine, component and continuing-airworthiness services under its 'Care2' service lines, running more than 100 heavy engine shop visits and processing over 22,000 component part numbers annually. As a condition of the EU-approved 2020 Portuguese state bailout of TAP, the unit closed its Brazilian maintenance operations in 2022 (about 500 jobs) and has since focused investment on its Lisbon base, including new MRO capability for LEAP-1A engines powering the A320neo family.

Istanbul, Turkey

Turkish Technic is Turkey's flagship MRO provider and the maintenance arm of Turkish Airlines, operating a 130,000 m² hangar complex across Istanbul Airport and Atatürk Airport plus a 380,000 m² facility at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport able to service 11 narrowbody and 3 long-haul aircraft simultaneously. The company employs roughly 6,100 people and runs line-maintenance stations at 24 domestic and 30 international airports, serving Turkish Airlines alongside third-party carriers as a member of IATA's MRO SmartHub, IATP, ELMO and the Airbus MRO Network. It continues to expand capacity, including an additional narrowbody hangar at Ankara's Esenboğa Airport, reinforcing Istanbul's position as a major regional heavy-maintenance hub.

Hanoi, Vietnam

VAECO is the maintenance and engineering subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines, based at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi with additional branches in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. Beyond its parent airline, VAECO serves more than 80 international customers and has recently signed maintenance and line-support agreements with carriers including Lufthansa, DHL Air Limited, Greater Bay Airlines and Thai AirAsia, alongside a component-repair joint venture with ST Engineering. It holds certification from Vietnam's CAAV as well as the FAA and EASA, and remains Vietnam's principal base and line maintenance provider as the country's carriers expand their fleets.
