Overview
HAECO (Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company) is one of the world's largest independent aircraft engineering groups, founded in 1950, headquartered at Hong Kong International Airport and majority-owned by Swire Pacific. It provides airframe services, line maintenance, component overhaul, landing gear and engine support across a global network spanning Hong Kong, mainland China and the Americas, employing around 15,000 people group-wide. In November 2025, HAECO sold its HAECO Americas division (North Carolina and Florida heavy-maintenance facilities, ~1,600 employees) to AAR Corp for $78 million, refocusing on its core Asia-Pacific operations as of 2026.
