GMF AeroAsia traces its roots to Garuda Indonesia's technical division founded in 1949 and became an independent MRO subsidiary in 2002, now operating from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport as Southeast Asia's largest aircraft maintenance provider. It serves more than 190 customers across 60-plus countries — including Cebu Pacific, Thai VietJet Air and Fiji Airways — with airframe, engine and component MRO plus defense maintenance for platforms like the C-130 Hercules, across 43 line-maintenance stations in Indonesia. Revenue grew 16.8% in 2025 to USD 491.9 million, reflecting strong regional demand as Southeast Asian carriers expand their fleets.
