History

Peach Aviation was established on 10 February 2011 (initially incorporated as A&F Aviation) as a joint venture led by All Nippon Airways to create a low-cost carrier brand for the Japanese and intra-Asian markets, and began flying on 1 March 2012 from its main base at Kansai International Airport. ANA steadily increased its stake over the following decade, reaching full ownership in December 2024 when it acquired the remaining shares from First Eastern Aviation Holdings, cementing Peach's position as ANA Holdings' wholly owned budget-carrier arm alongside its full-service ANA brand.

Current Operations

Peach Aviation operates an all-Airbus A320-family fleet of roughly 35 aircraft in service (A320-200s and A320neos, plus A321LR and A321neo/XLR variants on order) from bases at Osaka-Kansai, Tokyo-Narita, Naha, and Sendai, serving about 37 destinations within Japan and to nearby international points including South Korea, China (including Taiwan), Singapore, and Thailand. Since December 2024 it has been wholly owned by ANA Holdings, which acquired the remaining minority stake it did not already hold, and the airline operates as ANA Group's low-cost carrier brand with codeshare ties to All Nippon Airways; a brand refresh and new livery were slated to roll out from April 2026.
