History

Maastricht Airlines was a planned Dutch regional carrier established around 2012 with backing from the Municipality of Maastricht and the Province of Limburg, intending to operate Fokker 50 turboprops leased from Italian cargo operator MiniLiner. Repeated aircraft-delivery delays prevented it from obtaining an air operator's certificate in time for its planned March 2013 launch, and after a failed staff crowdfunding effort the company was declared bankrupt by a Maastricht court on 4 June 2013, only weeks after filing. It is unclear whether the airline ever operated a single commercial passenger flight before folding.

Current Operations

Maastricht Airlines never became an operating airline in the ordinary sense and has no current operations; it does not exist today.
