History

InterSky was founded in November 2001 by Renate Moser and Rolf Seewald and began flying on 25 March 2002, operating regional turboprop services from a base at Friedrichshafen Airport in Germany, with its registered headquarters across the border in Bregenz, Austria. It shifted to a low-cost model around 2003, became the largest carrier at Friedrichshafen, and by 2015 operated a small fleet of ATR 72 and Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 aircraft under owner Intro Aviation.

Current Operations

InterSky no longer operates. In late 2015 its aircraft lessor seized four of its five aircraft over unpaid lease charges amid roughly 5 million euros of accumulated debt, a rescue investor declined to step in, and the airline filed for insolvency, ceasing all flights on 5 November 2015. No successor carrier absorbed its routes or the 3L code.
