Merged — No Longer Operating Independently

South East Asian Airlines (SEAir) was rebranded Tigerair Philippines in 2013 after a Tigerair investment, then acquired outright by Cebu Pacific in January 2014 and renamed Cebgo in May 2015; it now operates as Cebu Pacific's regional turboprop subsidiary rather than as an independent airline, though it retains the DG code.

History

South East Asian Airlines (SEAir) was incorporated in the Philippines, receiving its SEC registration on 25 March 1995, and registered with the Clark Special Economic Zone in May 1995 to fly regional and tourist routes out of Clark, Manila, and Subic, later opening a hub in Zamboanga City in 2002. Singapore-based Tigerair took a strategic stake starting in 2010, and in June 2013 the airline was rebranded Tigerair Philippines to align with its new partner's low-cost model. Philippine flag carrier group Cebu Pacific (via parent JG Summit) acquired full ownership of the carrier in January 2014 for roughly ₱672 million, ending the Tigerair partnership.

Current Operations

The airline that was SEAir no longer exists under that name: it was renamed Cebgo on 11 May 2015 and now operates as a wholly owned regional subsidiary of Cebu Pacific, flying an all-ATR 72 turboprop fleet on domestic Philippine routes from bases in Cebu, Clark, Davao, and Iloilo. Cebgo retains the historic DG IATA code inherited from SEAir/Tigerair Philippines, though it now uses the ICAO code 5JG and operates under Cebu Pacific's ownership and branding rather than as an independent airline.
