Avfuel is an independent global aviation fuel and services provider operating a fueling network spanning more than 3,500 locations, including over 720 branded FBOs across North America and Europe; it serves more than 6,000 aviation customers. The company was acquired by Craig R. Sincock in 1985 and serves six main aviation segments, including general aviation, corporate fleets, airlines, helicopters, cargo, and military operators. Avfuel is expanding its SAF supply under the "Avfuel Zero" initiative and continuing its international growth (as of 2026).

Mumbai, India

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited's aviation fuel unit supplies aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and lubricants to airports across India; in January 2026 it commissioned a dedicated ATF pipeline for Hyderabad Airport, strengthening its fuel infrastructure. The company has also opened fuel stations at newly opened airports such as Gaya International Airport and is expanding airport fuel services through various joint ventures. It is one of the three major state-backed fuel suppliers in India's growing aviation market.

Houston, Texas, United States

Chevron's aviation fuels business supplies jet fuel to commercial and general aviation operators and is expanding renewable fuel production capacity at its El Segundo refinery in California. The company is working with Delta Air Lines and Google on joint sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) initiatives. It restarted the jet fuel unit at the El Segundo refinery following a fire in October 2025 (as of 2026).

Washington, D.C., United States

DG Fuels is developing a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in Louisiana with a $2.5 billion investment and an annual capacity of 120 million gallons; the facility will use an e-SAF technology that combines cellulosic feedstocks such as wood waste with hydrogen. The company has sold the facility's entire production capacity years ahead of opening: Delta Air Lines has committed to 55 million gallons per year (a 7-year agreement starting in 2027), and Air France-KLM to 21 million gallons per year (a 10-year agreement starting in 2026). The project draws on the processes of technology providers Johnson Matthey and bp.

Rome, Italy

Enilive, Eni's sustainable mobility business, produces biorefinery-based SAF; in January 2025 it began SAF production at the Gela biorefinery in Sicily with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, a volume equivalent to roughly a third of expected European SAF demand for 2025. The company aims to raise its total biorefinery capacity to more than 5 million tons by 2030 and to increase SAF production flexibility to 1 million tons; it is also planning an additional facility in Venice and new biorefineries in Malaysia and South Korea (as of 2026).

Spring, Texas, United States

ExxonMobil Aviation, ExxonMobil's aviation fuels and lubricants business, supplies jet fuel and lubricants to commercial airlines, helicopter operators, and business jets on a global scale. In July 2022 it completed its first certified blended SAF delivery from Singapore Changi Airport for Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights. The company aims to reach more than 40,000 barrels per day of lower-emission fuels (including SAF) by 2025 and a production capacity of 200,000 barrels per day by 2030.

Englewood, Colorado, United States

Gevo is an energy company aiming to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from corn and other agricultural feedstocks using alcohol-to-jet (ATJ) technology. In August 2026 it decided to abandon plans for its Net-Zero 1 SAF facility in South Dakota and instead focus on an ethanol expansion investment in North Dakota and a new SAF facility project with an annual capacity of 30 million gallons. The company had previously received a conditional loan commitment from the U.S. Department of Energy; this change in project plans also affected the financing process (as of 2026).

New Delhi, India

Indian Oil Corporation's aviation fuel unit operates aviation fuel stations across India; with the addition of its Darbhanga facility it has commissioned its 120th aviation fuel station. The company has signed agreements to provide fueling services to newly opened airports, including Noida International Airport, and is expanding airport fuel infrastructure through joint ventures such as Indian Oil Skytanking. It is one of the key suppliers in India's rapidly growing domestic aviation market.

Kuwait City, Kuwait

Q8 Aviation, the aviation arm of Kuwait Petroleum International, supplies jet fuel at more than 75 international and regional airports across 16 countries and serves Europe's four busiest airports. The company fuels more than 2,000 aircraft per day, sells approximately 8 billion liters of aviation fuel annually, and serves more than 200 major airlines, making it one of the largest importers of jet fuel into Europe. It is a strategic partner of IATA and a board member of the Joint Inspection Group (JIG).

Chicago, Illinois, United States

LanzaJet is a company developing alcohol-to-jet (ATJ) technology that converts ethanol into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF); its Freedom Pines Fuels facility in Georgia, the world's first commercial-scale ethanol-to-SAF facility, has become fully operational with an annual production capacity of 10 million gallons (approximately 30,000 tons). The company received an industry award from the Renewable Fuels Association in 2026 and aims to license its alcohol-to-jet technology globally.

Espoo, Finland

Neste positions itself as the world's leading producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel; it has a combined annual SAF production capacity of 1.5 million tons across its facilities in Finland (Porvoo), Singapore, and the Netherlands (Rotterdam), and plans to raise this capacity to 2.2 million tons by 2027. It has more than 70 direct customers, including Air France-KLM, Lufthansa, United Airlines, All Nippon Airways, DHL, Amazon Air, and FedEx; SAF is available for direct uplift at more than 25 airports, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Singapore Changi, and Narita.

Vienna, Austria

OMV, the aviation fuel unit of the Austria-based integrated energy company, was one of the first suppliers to bring SAF to market at Vienna International Airport through a partnership with AEG Fuels. The company signed SAF supply agreements with Austrian Airlines and strengthened its sustainable aviation fuel partnership with Lufthansa Group. OMV's Schwechat refinery is an important part of the SAF supply chain in Central Europe.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Petrobras's aviation fuel unit is Brazil's leading fuel supplier, supplying QAV (jet fuel) and aviation gasoline to airports across the country. The company launched Brazil's first fully domestically produced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and in January 2026 introduced a new cut in QAV prices, affecting airlines' cost structures. Petrobras, one of Latin America's largest integrated energy companies, holds a dominant position in the region's aviation fuel supply chain.

Geneva, Switzerland

Puma Energy's aviation fuels business supplies AVGAS 100LL, unleaded UL94 avgas, and Jet A/A-1 fuel to nearly 600 customers across roughly 107 airports and airfields, mainly in Africa but also in the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The company expanded its aviation business in Africa by acquiring Air bp's aviation fuel assets in countries such as Mozambique, Tanzania, and Ghana. Puma Energy complies with industry standards as a strategic partner of IATA and a member of the Joint Inspection Group (JIG).

Madrid, Spain

Repsol's aviation fuel unit supplies jet fuel and produces SAF in Spain; at its Petronor refinery in Bilbao it produced Spain's first batch of waste-based sustainable aviation fuel and, together with Iberia, operated the country's first long-haul biofuel flight. In 2024 it signed Spain's largest-ever SAF offtake agreement with IAG. The company also supports the use of renewable fuel in ground handling operations at Bilbao Airport.

London, United Kingdom

Shell Aviation, Shell's aviation fuel and lubricants business, supplies jet fuel, into-plane fueling, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) worldwide. In July 2026 it signed a five-year SAF collaboration agreement with Delta Air Lines covering LAX, JFK, Boston Logan, Portland, and Minneapolis-St. Paul airports. The company is also partnering with Emirates to increase SAF use at London Heathrow and is planning one of Europe's largest sustainable aviation fuel production facilities.

Beijing, China

Through a state-led merger completed in July 2026, China National Aviation Fuel Group (CNAF), China's aviation fuel monopoly, joined Sinopec, the world's largest oil refiner; the move is described as one of the largest state-owned enterprise mergers in Chinese history. CNAF has historically held a dominant position in into-plane fueling at Chinese airports and also holds a stake in China Aviation Oil, which is listed on the Singapore stock exchange. Sinopec is also collaborating with TotalEnergies to establish a joint SAF production facility in China and has partnered with Cathay Pacific on SAF initiatives.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

SkyNRG is a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply company founded in 2009 with KLM among its co-founders; in 2011 it operated the world's first commercial SAF flight for KLM (Amsterdam-Paris). The company has supplied SAF to more than 50 airlines and organizations, signed long-term offtake agreements worth more than $4 billion, and, through its "Project Runway" book-and-claim initiative, makes it possible to purchase SAF without proximity to the source. In 2026, together with KLM, it began construction of the Delfzijl project, the Netherlands' first dedicated SAF production facility.

Paris, France

TotalEnergies Aviation, the group's aviation fuels business, offers jet fuel supply and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) solutions, progressively increasing its SAF production capacity in Europe. The company signed a collaboration agreement with Sinopec to establish a joint SAF production facility in China, and highlighted its leading position in SAF at the 2026 Paris Air Show. In addition to fuel supply to commercial aviation customers, it provides technical support and decarbonization consulting.

Geneva, Switzerland

Vitol Aviation, the aviation fuel arm of Vitol Group, the world's largest independent energy and commodity trading company, supplies jet fuel to oil companies, national oil companies, airlines, and military customers; it describes itself as "the world's largest arbitrage jet fuel operator." The company supplies fuel to more than 150 airports and has operated in aviation fuel markets for more than 30 years. Together with Neste, it made London Heathrow the first major UK airport to incorporate SAF into its operations.

Boston, Massachusetts, United States

World Energy is one of the leading producers of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at its Paramount, California facility in the United States; it is expanding production capacity under a $2 billion partnership with Air Products. The company plans to increase SAF production at the Paramount facility to roughly seven times its current level and stands out as a major contributor to growth in U.S. SAF production capacity. World Energy focuses on producing renewable fuel from recycled feedstocks such as used cooking oil and agricultural waste (as of 2026).

World Fuel Services is a global energy management company providing fuel supply and logistics management for aviation, marine, and land transportation; its aviation division provides into-plane fueling, the AVCARD fuel card, and flight planning services to commercial airlines, cargo carriers, and business jets. In June 2023 it rebranded its corporate name to World Kinect and began trading on the NYSE under the ticker WKC. The company operates 150 offices and more than 185 affiliates across over 190 countries; its customers include government agencies such as NATO and the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency.
