SkyNRG

Overview

SkyNRG is a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply company founded in 2009 with KLM among its co-founders; in 2011 it operated the world's first commercial SAF flight for KLM (Amsterdam-Paris). The company has supplied SAF to more than 50 airlines and organizations, signed long-term offtake agreements worth more than $4 billion, and, through its "Project Runway" book-and-claim initiative, makes it possible to purchase SAF without proximity to the source. In 2026, together with KLM, it began construction of the Delfzijl project, the Netherlands' first dedicated SAF production facility.
