Overview

DG Fuels is developing a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in Louisiana with a $2.5 billion investment and an annual capacity of 120 million gallons; the facility will use an e-SAF technology that combines cellulosic feedstocks such as wood waste with hydrogen. The company has sold the facility's entire production capacity years ahead of opening: Delta Air Lines has committed to 55 million gallons per year (a 7-year agreement starting in 2027), and Air France-KLM to 21 million gallons per year (a 10-year agreement starting in 2026). The project draws on the processes of technology providers Johnson Matthey and bp.
