History

Valuair was launched on 5 May 2004 as one of Singapore's first low-cost carriers, headquartered at Changi Airport and flying budget routes across Southeast Asia and beyond. On 24 July 2005 it came under common ownership with Jetstar Asia Airways via a shared holding structure (Orange Sky Aviation), after which the two carriers were gradually integrated even as both brands continued flying for several more years.

Current Operations

Valuair no longer exists as an independent operating brand. Its integration into Jetstar Asia was completed in October 2014, with the last flight under the Valuair name and callsign landing on 25 October 2014 and the brand formally dissolved the next day; its remaining routes, including Indonesian services that had been held under Valuair due to foreign-ownership rules, were absorbed directly into Jetstar Asia's network and fleet.
