UTair-Express

History

UTair Express traced its roots to Komiinteravia, a regional carrier established in March 1996 in the Komi Republic that began flying in July 1997. UTair Aviation acquired a controlling stake in 2004, and the subsidiary completed re-registration under the UTair Express name in December 2006 as part of UTair's strategy to consolidate regional flying in Russia's north under a dedicated brand. Based in Syktyvkar, it operated turboprop and helicopter services across the Komi Republic and neighboring regions for nearly a decade under UTair Group control.

Current Operations

UTair Express does not operate today. On 10 June 2015, Russian aviation authorities suspended its operating licence at the request of parent company UTair Aviation, which was restructuring amid a severe financial crisis, and the subsidiary's routes and remaining aircraft were absorbed back into UTair Aviation's own operations. No relaunch of the UTair Express brand has occurred since.
