History

Kam Air was founded on 30 July 2003 in Kabul in the aftermath of the Taliban's initial fall, quickly becoming Afghanistan's largest privately owned airline. It built a fleet of Airbus A340 and Boeing 737 aircraft to link Kabul with domestic cities and international destinations across Central, South and West Asia.

Current Operations

Kam Air remains active as Afghanistan's largest private carrier, operating from hubs at Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif. It briefly suspended flying after the August 2021 political transition but resumed domestic service by 5 September 2021 and has since restored international routes as well.
