History

Royal Falcon Airlines was established in Amman, Jordan, in 2007, initially flying non-scheduled ACMI and ad-hoc charter work before becoming Jordan's second scheduled air carrier in 2009. It operated a mixed business of scheduled regional flights, passenger charters, and cargo services, with the cargo side run through a sister company operating Ilyushin Il-76 and Antonov An-26 freighters. Its scheduled network connected Amman with regional points including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Baku, and the Iraqi cities of Mosul and Najaf, using Boeing 737 and 767 aircraft.

Current Operations

Royal Falcon is no longer operating: it halted all flights on 31 August 2016, and Jordan's Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission subsequently revoked its operating licence, with the government ordering the carrier's formal liquidation in October 2017. No airline currently flies under the Royal Falcon name or the RL code.
