Aviation Museums › Air Force & Military Aviation
Owned by the General Staff of the Romanian Air Force, the museum occupies WWII-era hangars at the former Pipera Airport and traces Romanian aviation history from its pioneer era through the jet age. It has relocated several times since its 1990 founding (Otopeni tents → Băneasa 1998 → near Otopeni 2000 → Pipera 2006), and a multi-year hangar modernization (begun 2023, slated through ~2027) is underway, though the museum continues operating and holding public events.
