Aviation Museums › Commercial Aviation Heritage
Opened in October 2005 in partnership with the Toulouse-based association "Mémoire d'Aéropostale," this museum is dedicated to the Latécoère/Aéropostale airmail line and its pioneer aviators, with Jean Mermoz as its namesake. It documents the "golden age" of early aviation in West Africa, when Saint-Louis served as a key stopover on the transatlantic and African airmail routes of the 1920s-30s. It is a small, dedicated single-subject aviation museum with regular public hours and an entry fee.
