Transport Options at YYC
Calgary International Airport is connected to Calgary and the wider Canada transport network by multiple ground transport options.
Calgary Transit Route 300 (MAX Purple BRT) runs from the airport directly to downtown Calgary in about 30–40 minutes, roughly every 15–30 minutes depending on time of day; standard Calgary Transit fare applies, with no separate airport surcharge.
Official taxi rank outside arrivals; fare downtown is roughly CAD $45–55 and takes 20–30 minutes depending on traffic.
Uber and Lyft both operate with dedicated pickup zones at the terminal.
Rental desks for all major brands are in the terminal; useful given Calgary's role as the main gateway to the Canadian Rockies (Banff, Lake Louise), about 1.5 hours west.
Headed to Banff or the mountains rather than downtown Calgary? Skip transit entirely and book a rental car or a direct airport shuttle service to Banff/Lake Louise — there's no train link, and Route 300 only goes downtown.
