Both terminals have public art walks, duty-free, and rest areas; Terminal 2 has more variety. Note Terminal 3 is under construction (targeted for around end of 2026), so some gates, signage, and facilities may be in flux.

The Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport sits adjacent to the terminal complex via a covered walkway, the most convenient overnight option; verify current connecting routes given the ongoing Terminal 3 build nearby.

Most Western passports (US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan, and dozens more) get 90-day visa-free entry to Taiwan, so a layover city trip only requires clearing normal immigration — not a special transit visa. Confirm your nationality's exemption length before flying.
