Transport Options at TPE
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is connected to Taoyuan and the wider Taiwan transport network by multiple ground transport options.
The Airport MRT Express runs to Taipei Main Station in 36-41 minutes for NT$160, with trains every 15 minutes from 05:57 to 22:55 — the fastest and most convenient option for most travelers.
Kuo-Kuang Bus 1819 runs 24 hours to Taipei Bus Station for NT$133-164, taking 46-74 minutes — a solid budget alternative outside MRT operating hours.
Metered taxis are available 24/7 at the airport ranks for the 40-50 minute ride into the city, priced on the meter plus tolls.
Uber operates in Taipei, though the MRT and taxi ranks are generally more convenient for a straight airport transfer; private pre-booked transfers are also widely available from about $23 per vehicle.

If you land after 23:00 when the Airport MRT has stopped running, the 24-hour Kuo-Kuang bus is a cheaper fallback than a taxi for the ride into the city.
