Transport Options at SHE
Shenyang Taoxian International Airport is connected to Shenyang and the wider China transport network by multiple ground transport options.
Shenyang Metro Line 2 extends directly to Taoxian Airport, connecting to downtown Shenyang (including Shenyang Railway Station) in roughly 40–50 minutes with no transfer needed.
Airport shuttle buses run from the terminal to several drop-off points across downtown Shenyang, including the main railway station area; schedules are posted at the arrivals hall and typically run from early morning into the evening.
Metered taxis queue at the terminal exits; the roughly 25 km run into central Shenyang takes about 30–40 minutes depending on traffic.
DiDi operates at the airport but, as elsewhere in China, requires a Chinese phone number and Alipay/WeChat Pay for booking and payment — most foreign visitors default to the taxi rank or the metro instead.
Domestic rental agencies have desks in the terminal; self-drive requires a Chinese driving permit, so this option mainly suits residents rather than international visitors passing through.
