Transport Options at PUS
Gimhae International Airport is connected to Busan and the wider South Korea transport network by multiple ground transport options.
The Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit (BGL) connects the airport to the city, with a fare around KRW 1,600 (including onward subway transfer) and a ride of roughly 20-30 minutes to transfer points at Sasang (Metro Line 2) or Daejeo (Metro Line 3); trains run frequently from early morning to around midnight.
Airport limousine bus service resumed in mid-2025 under a new operator after a prior suspension, now running two routes: No. 7100 to Haeundae/Gijang (roughly 110 minutes, about KRW 9,500) and No. 7101 to Seomyeon/Bujeon (roughly 50 minutes, about KRW 7,500); neither route serves Busan Station directly, so a taxi or the Sasang metro transfer works better for that destination.
Metered taxis to central Busan/Seomyeon typically cost roughly KRW 18,000-25,000 and take 25-45 minutes depending on destination and traffic; deluxe/jumbo taxis charge a premium (roughly 40% more) plus tolls.
Kakao T is the dominant app in Korea and is widely used at Gimhae, though it mainly functions to hail licensed taxis rather than offering private-driver rideshare; Uber has only a minor presence via a similar taxi-hailing partnership.
Rental counters are available at the airport serving both domestic and international arrivals.
The limousine bus service to Haeundae/Seomyeon was suspended for a period and only resumed under a new operator in July 2025 — schedules and fares have changed recently, so check current timetables rather than relying on older travel guides.
