Transport Options at NCE
Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport is connected to Nice, Alpes-Maritimes and the wider France transport network by multiple ground transport options.
There is no heavy-rail station at the airport itself, but Tram Line 2 gives a direct light-rail link from both terminals (T1 exit A0, T2 exit A2) into central Nice, averaging about 30 minutes to the Old Town/Promenade area, with trams roughly every 8 minutes between about 05:24 and 00:15. The tram also connects onward to Nice Ville, the mainline SNCF train station, for regional/national rail.
Regional bus lines (Lignes d'Azur network) also reach Nice, Cannes, Monaco and other Riviera towns from the airport, though the tram has largely replaced the older dedicated airport express buses for trips into central Nice.
Metered taxis wait outside both terminals; a ride into central Nice typically runs roughly €30-40 and takes 20-30 minutes, with posted fixed/reference fares often available at the rank for popular destinations like Cannes and Monaco.
Uber operates in Nice and can be booked to/from the airport via a designated pickup area.
All major international rental companies have counters at both terminals, with vehicle pickup at an on-site rental center.
A tram ticket bought right at the airport stops (Aéroport T1/T2) costs noticeably more than the standard city fare bought elsewhere on the network — it's a special higher-priced ticket bundled with extended transfer time, so budget for the airport surcharge rather than expecting the normal city fare.
