Transport Options at LAS
Harry Reid International Airport is connected to Las Vegas and the wider United States transport network by multiple ground transport options.
RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) public buses serve the airport, including routes toward the Strip and downtown, though most visitors use hotel shuttles or rideshare instead given luggage and crowding.
Metered taxis queue curbside — Terminal 1 outside baggage claim near doors 1-4, Terminal 3 on Level Zero near door 52. Nevada regulates taxi operations, but exact per-mile USD rates fluctuate, so treat any quoted fare as approximate.
Uber and Lyft are both available but are NOT curbside pickups: Terminal 1 rideshare pickup is on Level 2 of the parking garage, Terminal 3 pickup is on the Valet Level of its garage — follow in-terminal signage from baggage claim.
All major rental brands operate from the consolidated Rent-A-Car Center at 7135 Gilespie St, about 3 miles from the airport, reached by free ADA-equipped shuttle from designated stops at both terminals (not from the terminal curb).
Budget extra time for rideshare — Uber/Lyft at LAS route into the parking garage rather than the curb, adding a walk; for a quick Strip-hotel run, the taxi queue can actually be faster.
