Transport Options at KWE
Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is connected to Guiyang (Nanming) and the wider China transport network by multiple ground transport options.
Guiyang Metro Line 2 connects directly to the airport at Longdongbao Airport station, sharing the same building as the airport for an easy transfer between plane, train, and metro; journey into central Guiyang takes roughly 30–40 minutes.
Five numbered airport shuttle bus lines (901–905) run from the terminal to Guiyang North and Guiyang Railway Stations, Jinyang Bus Station, Beijing Road, Huaguoyuan, and Qingyan Ancient Town, with fares generally ¥10–20.
Metered taxis queue outside arrivals; sample fares run roughly ¥30 to central landmarks like Jiaxiu Tower (about 20 minutes) up to ¥90–130 for farther spots like Qingyan Ancient Town or Hongfeng Lake.
Didi operates but generally requires a Chinese phone number/payment method, making it impractical for most short-term foreign visitors without local setup.
Rental desks exist, but self-drive requires a Chinese license for most foreign visitors — metro or taxi is the practical choice for international travelers.
Metro Line 2 is built directly into the terminal, so unless you're headed somewhere the shuttle buses serve directly, it's usually the simplest way into Guiyang — no taxi negotiation or shuttle timetables to worry about.
