Inside the airport

Hamad International has the indoor 'Orchard' tropical garden, the Al Mourjan Business Lounge, a Vitality wellness center with a squash court, spa and pools, and the airside Oryx Hotel — a 100-room transit-only hotel where check-in requires a passport and boarding pass, with stays capped under 24 hours.

The Oryx Hotel sits airside inside the terminal itself, built specifically for transit passengers (boarding pass + passport required, stays under 24 hours); for longer layovers, Discover Qatar also books discounted landside hotels in Doha through its official stopover packages.

Qatar grants visa-free entry (typically up to 30 days) to roughly 95 nationalities, including most EU, US, UK, Australian and neighboring-region passports, so most transit passengers can simply clear immigration and go into Doha. Travelers without that eligibility can transit airside without a visa for up to 24 hours if they don't leave the airport, but need a full visa to enter the city.
