The Delhi Airport Metro Express (Orange Line) runs non-stop from the airport to New Delhi Railway Station in about 20 minutes, connecting onward to the wider Delhi Metro network — it's the fastest and most predictable way into the city, especially avoiding traffic.
DTC and DIMTS airport buses run to central Delhi and Gurugram/Noida at a fraction of a taxi fare, but are slower and less comfortable with heavy luggage.
