The Zhengzhou–Xinzheng Airport Intercity Railway runs from a station inside the terminal complex to Zhengzhou East high-speed rail station in about 19 minutes, connecting onward to the national high-speed rail network; the Zhengzhou Metro's Chengjiao Line and Zhengxu Line also serve the airport directly for local city travel.
Airport shuttle buses run from the terminal to multiple drop-off points across downtown Zhengzhou, including the main railway station area, departing at regular intervals through the day.
Metered taxis queue at the terminal exits for the roughly 30 km run into central Zhengzhou, which typically takes 40–50 minutes depending on traffic.
DiDi covers the airport, but as elsewhere in China it's built around a Chinese phone number and Alipay/WeChat Pay for booking and payment — most foreign visitors find the taxi rank, intercity rail, or a pre-booked transfer more workable.
Domestic rental agencies operate desks in the terminal; self-drive requires a Chinese driving permit, so this mainly suits residents rather than through travelers.
