History

Atlantis Armenian Airlines, commonly known as Atlantis European Airways, was founded in 2004 in Yerevan and initially flew a single Boeing 737-500 on routes connecting to Vienna in partnership with Austrian Airlines, later adding an Airbus A320 and codeshares with Austrian and Czech Airlines as it pursued leisure routes toward Georgia, Greece and elsewhere in Eastern Europe.

Current Operations

The airline is defunct. Armenian aviation authorities suspended its licenses in August 2020, and it formally ceased operations on 20 February 2021 after conducting a COVID-19 evacuation charter from Rome the year before.
