Airline Identity
History
Atlasjet was founded on 14 March 2001 and began commercial operations on 1 June 2001, growing into a mid-sized Turkish scheduled and charter carrier based in Istanbul. Ownership passed from founding group Öger Holding to businessman Ali Murat Ersoy in February 2006, and the airline rebranded from Atlasjet to AtlasGlobal on 31 March 2015 as it repositioned itself around Istanbul and Antalya.
Current Operations
AtlasGlobal does not operate today. The airline had already shrunk to a handful of aircraft and destinations amid mounting debts, including a failed 2013 payment arrangement with Ryan International Airlines, before it suspended all flights and formally declared bankruptcy on 12 February 2020.
