History
Gazpromavia was established in March 1995 as the in-house aviation arm of Russian energy giant Gazprom, beginning operations on April 16, 1995, and has since grown into one of Russia's largest business/charter and helicopter operators.
Current Operations
Gazpromavia operates a mixed fixed-wing and rotary fleet (including Boeing 737s, Sukhoi Superjet 100s, Yakovlev Yak-40s and over a hundred helicopters) from its Moscow base at Ostafyevo Airport, running scheduled domestic flights, oil-and-gas industry support charters, and VIP/business aviation; like other Russian carriers it has been barred from flying into EU airspace since 2022.
