Air Sinai

History

Air Sinai was established in 1982 as an Egyptian carrier, but from 2002 it effectively became a 'paper airline' operated behind the scenes by EgyptAir, used specifically to fly the politically sensitive Cairo-Tel Aviv route under a separate brand rather than EgyptAir's own name.

Current Operations

Air Sinai no longer operates. On October 3, 2021, EgyptAir began openly operating direct Cairo-Tel Aviv flights under its own livery and brand, ending the need for the Air Sinai front and bringing the arrangement to a close after roughly four decades.
