Overview

Vanderlande, founded in 1949 and a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Industries Corporation since 2017, is one of the world's largest suppliers of airport baggage-handling automation and operational software, with systems installed at more than 600 airports and serving 17 of the world's top 20 hubs. Siemens announced the sale of its airport-logistics (baggage handling) business to Vanderlande in October 2024; the acquisition closed in phases, with Europe, Asia and the Middle East completing in May 2025 and the U.S. operations following in early 2026, extending Vanderlande's reach into integrated security-checkpoint and cargo automation alongside its baggage-handling hardware. The company reported approximately €2.2 billion in revenue in 2022.
