Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Langley, Berkshire, Travelport operates one of the world's three major global distribution systems (GDS) alongside Amadeus and Sabre, providing airline shopping, ticketing, and travel-agency distribution technology. Taken private in a $4.4 billion buyout by Siris Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital in 2019, it became the first GDS operator to process a live NDC-standard booking in 2018 and expanded its retailing tools with the 2023 acquisition of travel-management platform Deem.
