Overview
Founded in 1934 and long known for its "Jepp charts," Jeppesen provides aeronautical navigation data, flight-planning software, and electronic flight bag solutions used by airlines and pilots worldwide, with United Airlines among its earliest airline customers in the 1930s. Boeing owned Jeppesen from 2000 until April 2025, when it sold Jeppesen — together with ForeFlight, AerData, and OzRunways — to private-equity firm Thoma Bravo in a $10.55 billion deal, making Jeppesen an independent aviation-software company as of 2026.
