IDEMIA Public Security

Overview

IDEMIA Public Security, part of French identity-technology group IDEMIA (roots tracing to Morpho Systèmes, 1982), supplies facial-recognition e-gates and biometric identity-verification systems used at airport border checkpoints, including deployments at Singapore Changi Airport's Terminals 3 and 4. In April 2026 Amadeus announced a planned €1.2 billion acquisition of IDEMIA Public Security to build an end-to-end biometric travel-identity platform spanning booking through border control, with the deal still progressing toward close as of mid-2026.
