Aviation Museums › General Aviation

An interactive general-aviation museum in Shannon, Co. Clare, founded in 2007 by Eddie Ryan and Jane Magill, covering the history and technology of flight with a strong educational/experiential focus. It continues to expand its exhibits, including a dedicated Irish Air Corps wing and a tribute wing to co-founder Eddie Ryan, and is a member of AVEA, the Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions in Ireland. (A separate Irish Air Corps Museum exists at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, but operates as a restricted/by-request military heritage project rather than a regularly open public museum, so it was not used for this entry.)
