Aviation Museums › Air Force & Military Aviation
The Pakistan Air Force's main museum and, per Wikipedia, the only military aviation museum in Pakistan. Owned and operated by the PAF on PAF Base Faisal, it displays more than 50 aircraft along with radars and missiles, mostly outdoors in a park setting, and is one of Karachi's most-visited attractions. The site traces back to two hangars originally built by the British during colonial rule.
Notable Exhibits
- Vickers VC.1 Viking — The aircraft once used by Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
- Folland Gnat — An Indian Air Force aircraft that landed at Pasrur during the 1965 war.
- Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, F-86 Sabre, Martin B-57 Canberra, Shenyang F-6 — Core Cold War-era PAF combat aircraft on display.
Between 1999 and 2004 the museum added children's play areas, rides, and eateries alongside its aircraft displays.
Most of the 50+ aircraft and weapons on site are displayed outdoors in a park-like setting rather than indoors.
