Italy's official Air Force historical museum, housed in the country's oldest seaplane base at Vigna di Valle on Lake Bracciano near Rome. It opened to the public in 1977 and displays Italian military aviation history chronologically across five hangars, including the historic Troster hangar built during World War I.

- Macchi-Castoldi M.C.72 — Racing seaplane that set the world absolute speed record for piston-engine seaplanes (709 km/h) in 1934, a record that still stands.

- Aerfer Sagittario 2 — Experimental jet credited as the first Italian aircraft to exceed the speed of sound.
