Chile's national aeronautics and space museum, created July 13, 1944 as the Museo de Aviación and operated by the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC). Its current building, inaugurated March 9, 1992, stands on part of the former Los Cerrillos Airport in Santiago. The collection includes vintage civil and military aircraft, several of which were declared national historic monuments in 2002.

Notable Exhibits
- North American AT-6D (SNJ-6) — One of eleven aircraft declared national historic monuments in 2002.
- Naval Aircraft Factory N3N-3 — Vintage training biplane in the historic-monument collection.
- De Havilland DH-82 Tiger Moth — Early 20th-century training biplane on display.
- Fairchild PT-19 — WWII-era primary trainer, part of the protected historic aircraft group.
Eleven aircraft in the collection were officially declared national historic monuments by the Chilean government in 2002.
The museum occupies part of the site of the former Los Cerrillos Airport, Santiago's first commercial airport.
