Peru's aeronautical museum, created on December 15, 1959, preserves the history of Peruvian aviation and the Peruvian Air Force (FAP). It occupies the medieval-style Castillo Rospigliosi, built in 1929, in the Santa Beatriz district of Lima. Exhibits include personal effects of aviation pioneers Jorge Chávez and Pedro Paulet, and a gallery honoring the "Defensores de la Patria" from the 1995 Cenepa conflict.
