Aviation Museums › Air Force & Military Aviation

Housed inside the Bolivian Air Force base at El Alto International Airport, this museum displays the FAB's Historical Collection — around 20 aircraft and 3 helicopters used by Bolivia's military between the 1920s/1940s and 2000s, split between two historic hangars (built 1920 and 1926) and an outdoor airfield display. The collection was started in 1958 by Amalia Villa de la Tapia (Bolivia's first licensed female pilot, 1922) and moved to its present airport location in 2015.
