Aviation Museums › Air Force & Military Aviation

Located on Dekelia Air Base near Acharnes, north of Athens, and dedicated specifically to Greek aviation/air force history (distinct from the general War Museum of Athens). It restores and displays historic aircraft, most sourced from the Hellenic Air Force itself and supplemented by exchanges with other European aviation museums. Open to the public on weekends, with school groups able to visit on other days by prior arrangement. Sources give slightly different founding dates (1986 per body text vs. 1992 for the move to its current Dekelia site) — both are reported here honestly rather than picking one.
