Established in 2001 by state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), this was India's first aerospace museum. Set on HAL's Bengaluru campus, it traces the company's aircraft manufacturing history through indoor and outdoor exhibits of Indian-built military aircraft, engines and flight simulators.
Notable Exhibits
- HAL Ajeet — A HAL-built light fighter/trainer derived from the Folland Gnat, developed and produced in India.
- English Electric Canberra — A jet bomber that was license-built by HAL and served with the Indian Air Force.
- HF-24 Marut — India's first indigenously designed and built jet fighter aircraft.
- MiG-21 — A Soviet-designed supersonic fighter license-produced by HAL for the Indian Air Force.
