Aviation and space branch museum of the Deutsches Museum, opened in 1992 as the museum's first outpost, located on the grounds of the historic Schleißheim airfield near Munich. More than 70 aircraft, helicopters, engines and rockets are displayed across 8,000 square metres. Open daily 9:00–17:00.

- Heinkel He 111 (Casa 2.111B) — Spanish-built Casa 2.111, the He 111 version famous from the 1969 film Battle of Britain
- Douglas DC-3 (C-47) — Dakota transport with a long civil and military service history
- Dornier Do 24 — Flying boat of the Second World War era
- VFW-614 ATTAS — Experimental research aircraft developed from the VFW-614 airliner
- Transall C-160 — Twin-turboprop military transport, accessible for walk-in visits on the open-air ground
- Eurofighter — A flying object of the exhibition.
Opened on 18 September 1992 as the Deutsches Museum's first branch museum.
The exhibition is partly housed in restored 1912–1918 buildings of the royal Bavarian flying troops, extended by a 1992 exhibition hall and a restoration workshop open to visitors.
An annual vintage aircraft fly-in (Oldtimer Fly-In) takes place on the airfield grounds.
