Aviation Museums › Air Force & Military Aviation
Estonia's only dedicated aviation museum, founded as a private initiative by engineer/former politician Mati Meos and developed in stages with EU, private, and public funding. It combines a large outdoor park of ex-Soviet/Warsaw Pact military aircraft with an indoor hall of model aircraft and an air-defence collection. Since 2006 it has hosted the annual "Estonian Aviation Days," which it describes as the biggest aviation event in the Baltic states.
Notable Exhibits
- Saab 35 Draken and Saab JA 37 Viggen — Swedish-built Cold War-era fighters.
- MiG-21bis, MiG-23MLD, MiG-25 — Soviet fighter types forming the core of the outdoor collection.
- F-104 Starfighter and Panavia Tornado F.3 — Western-type fighters in the collection.
- Su-24 — A swing-wing Soviet bomber, among the larger airframes on display.
- Indoor scale-model hall — 400+ scale aircraft/launcher models (1:144-1:32) plus an engines and air-defence (anti-aircraft guns, SAMs) section.
The museum has its own 450 m private airstrip.
It closes seasonally from November to May.
