Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is connected to Wuhan (Huangpi) and the wider China transport network by multiple ground transport options.

Rail & Metro

Wuhan Metro Line 2 runs directly into Tianhe Airport's own station (serving Terminal 3) and continues on the same line, with no transfer, straight to Hankou Railway Station. Reaching Wuchang Railway Station needs one easy cross-platform transfer to Line 4 at Zhongnan Road. The ride into the central Hankou/Jianghan Road area takes roughly 45–60 minutes depending on where you get off.

Bus & Shuttle

Airport shuttle buses run to Hankou Railway Station, Wuchang Railway Station, and other city hubs.

Taxi

Metered taxis are available at the official rank outside arrivals.

Rideshare

Didi is widely used but, as elsewhere in mainland China, generally needs a Chinese phone number and local payment method to book.

Tianhe sits fairly far from central Wuhan, so factor real transit time into any layover plan. Metro Line 2 is the cheapest and most reliable option, and it's a direct ride (no transfer) as far as Hankou — only continuing on to Wuchang adds one easy cross-platform change.
