Transport Options at TYN
Taiyuan Wusu International Airport is connected to Taiyuan and the wider China transport network by multiple ground transport options.
Taiyuan Metro Line 1 extends to the airport, offering a rail option into the city alongside the shuttle buses.
Multiple airport shuttle lines run into the city: Line 1 to the railway station (~40 min, CNY 16), Line 3 to the South Railway Station (~20 min, CNY 13), plus routes to Xishan and the East Bus Station; a budget city bus (No. 201) also covers the railway station route for about CNY 2 in roughly 45 minutes.
Metered taxis are available outside arrivals.
Uber does not operate in mainland China — DiDi is the standard app-hailing option.
Limited; most visitors rely on the shuttle buses, metro, or DiDi.
City Bus 201 is the cheapest way to the railway station at about CNY 2, though it takes longer than the express shuttle lines — worth it if you're not in a hurry and want to save the fare difference.
