Uzbekistan has significantly opened up its visa policy since 2018: citizens of roughly 90+ countries — most of the EU, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and GCC states among them — can enter visa-free (typically up to 30 days, with 60–90 days for some CIS/neighboring countries under bilateral deals), and most other nationalities qualify for a straightforward e-visa. These lists do get updated periodically, so check your specific passport on the official e-visa portal rather than assuming from an older guide.

Transit visa requirements vary by nationality and change frequently. Always verify with the official embassy or consulate of Uzbekistan before travel.
