Transport Options at TAS
Tashkent International Airport is connected to Tashkent and the wider Uzbekistan transport network by multiple ground transport options.
A few public bus routes connect the airport to central Tashkent, but service is infrequent and not particularly geared toward travelers with luggage — most people default to a taxi or ride-hailing app instead.
Official and unofficial taxis both wait outside arrivals; agree a price (or use an app) before getting in, since curbside rates can run high for unfamiliar arrivals.
Yandex Go (formerly Yandex.Taxi) is the dominant app-based service in Tashkent and works well for airport pickups with transparent, metered pricing.
A handful of international and local firms offer rentals, though the selection is more limited than in most European or Chinese hub cities.
Book through Yandex Go rather than flagging a taxi outside arrivals — it's the standard local option and avoids the price haggling that can happen at the curb. You'll need working data (a local SIM or eSIM) to use the app.
